Omega has been the world’s most beloved spy’s watch of choice since 1995 and the new James Bond flick comes with a brand new signature Omega: the limited edition Omega Seamaster 300M “Commander’s Watch.”
The Commander’s Watch is striking and masculine, featuring a large 41mm case and the ensign colors of the British Royal Navy. According to Omega, the red, blue, and gray color scheme of the timepiece is a salute to James Bond’s naval connections. The watch is designed to be rugged and ready for action, with a signature Liquidmetal diving scale and a durable 5-stripe patterned NATO strap. The white ceramic dial features blue hour and minute hands and a red second hand with a stylish “007” logo at its base. Like other modern Seamasters, the Commander’s Watch is durable and ready to dive, featuring a 300-meter water resistance.
The back of the new Bond watch features clear view window that allows the wearer to see the intricate and striking Omega Calibre 2507. The calibre, newly designed for the Commander, features two-toned stainless steel and gold mechanisms and “007” imprinted on the rotor.
The Commander’s Watch is being released as a limited edition, with just 7,007 stainless steel models and 7 18K gold models available for purchase.
The Midsize Omega Seamaster “James Bond”
The new Commander’s Watch is the latest edition in Omega’s historic, collectible James Bond watches. The first Omega watch worn by Bond was the Seamaster Diver 300M with a distinctive blue dial, worn by Bond in 1995’s GoldenEye. The spy wore the blue-dialed Seamaster 300M again in 1997’s Tomorrow Never Dies, 1999’s The World is not Enough, and in 2002’s Die Another Day.
When the Bond films were reinvigorated with a new star, Daniel Craig, Omega seized the opportunity to update the spy’s signature timepiece. As Bond, Craig has worn the Seamaster 300M Co-Axial, the Planet Ocean 600M Co-Axial, the Omega Aqua Terra, and, of course, the new Commander’s Watch Seamaster 300M Limited Edition.
The use of the Omega as James Bond’s signature timepiece has helped the illustrious brand further cement its place as one of the top luxury watch companies.
